Order Capacity
Limit how many orders you can handle at once. Leave empty for no limit.
Where to find it: Store → Order settings → Order Capacity
What It Does
Section titled “What It Does”| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Order limit | Maximum number of orders being prepared at the same time |
When the limit is reached, new customers see that you’re at capacity and cannot place orders until an existing order is completed or confirmed.
How to Configure
Section titled “How to Configure”- Go to Store → Order settings
- Open the Order Capacity section
- Enter the number of orders — e.g. 10 to cap at 10 orders at once
- Leave empty for no limit — accept as many orders as come in
When to Use a Limit
Section titled “When to Use a Limit”- Small kitchen — Limit orders so you can keep up with quality
- Peak hours — Prevent overload during lunch or dinner rush
- Solo or small team — Match capacity to your staff
When to Leave Unlimited
Section titled “When to Leave Unlimited”- High capacity — You can handle many orders at once
- Quiet periods — No need to cap when volume is low
- Flexible — You prefer to manage manually with Pause all orders when needed
Order capacity counts orders in progress (e.g. Pending, Confirmed, Preparing). When at capacity, customers see a message that you’re busy — they can try again later. You can change the limit anytime — increase for busy days, decrease when short-staffed.
