Managing Short Links
Activate, deactivate, edit, and view scans for your short links.
Where to find it: Marketing → Short links
How to Deactivate a Short Link
Section titled “How to Deactivate a Short Link”- Go to Marketing → Short links
- Find the short link you want to deactivate
- Toggle Status to Inactive (or click the link and turn it off)
When inactive, the link no longer redirects — customers who click it will see an error or “link not available” message. Use this when a campaign ends or you want to pause a link.
How to Activate a Short Link
Section titled “How to Activate a Short Link”- Go to Marketing → Short links
- Find the inactive short link
- Toggle Status to Active
The link works again and redirects to the destination URL.
How to Edit a Short Link
Section titled “How to Edit a Short Link”- Go to Marketing → Short links
- Click the short link you want to edit
- Change the destination URL, name, or favicon
- Save
The short URL (e.g. mnel.la/ML2NZ) stays the same — only the destination or details change.
Viewing Scans
Section titled “Viewing Scans”Scans show how many times each short link was clicked. Use this to:
- Compare campaigns — Which link drove more traffic?
- Track performance — See which channels work best
- Report — Share scan counts with partners or for internal reporting
Deactivating is reversible — turn it back on anytime. The short URL (e.g. mnel.la/ML2NZ) never changes — you can update the destination without losing the link. Scans are cumulative — they show total clicks since the link was created.
Deactivate links when campaigns end — avoids confusion and keeps your list clean. Use clear names — e.g. “Instagram Q1” or “Pizza Night Promo” — so you can find them later. Check scans regularly to see which links perform best.
