How to Assign Modifiers to Products
After creating a modifier group and adding options, you must assign it to the products where it should appear. Until you assign a modifier to products, customers won’t see it when ordering.
Where to find it: Store → Menu → Modifiers — use the Assign products panel on the right when a modifier group is selected.
How to Assign a Modifier to Products
Section titled “How to Assign a Modifier to Products”- Go to Store → Menu → Modifiers
- Click the modifier group in the list (left panel)
- In the Assign products panel (right), search or browse for products
- Check the products that should show this modifier when customers order
- Click Assign or save — the assignment is saved automatically
- The modifier will now appear when customers select any of those products
How to Remove a Modifier from a Product
Section titled “How to Remove a Modifier from a Product”- Go to Store → Menu → Modifiers
- Click the modifier group
- In Assigned products, find the product you want to remove
- Click the trash or remove icon next to that product
- The modifier will no longer appear on that product
What Customers See
Section titled “What Customers See”When a customer selects a product that has assigned modifiers:
- They see the product (name, price, image)
- Below it, they see the modifier groups (e.g. “Size”, “Extras”)
- They choose options from each group according to the type (required variant, optional addon, etc.)
- The total price updates if they select paid options
Modifier groups are reusable — assign the same group (e.g. “Size”) to many products. You can use regular products as modifier options — e.g. “Add a side salad” where “Side salad” is a product from your menu. Price overrides let you set different prices per product or per size — e.g. “Large” costs +€1 on drinks but +€2 on pizzas. Assign products after creating the modifier group and adding options — otherwise the modifier won’t appear on any product. Review Assigned products periodically — remove assignments if a product should no longer show a modifier. Use the same modifier group (e.g. “Size”) across similar products for consistency.
