Getting Started with Menuella

These five steps get your restaurant online. Complete them in order, or pause and come back — the dashboard saves your progress.

What to do:

  1. Go to Settings → General — Add your store name, address, and contact info (see Settings)
  2. Go to Settings → Payments — Connect Stripe or PayPal (see Payments & Billing)

Why: Customers need correct store info and a way to pay. Without payments connected, they can’t complete orders.

What to do:

  1. Go to Store → Menu
  2. Open the Categories tab — create categories (e.g. Starters, Mains, Drinks)
  3. Open the Products tab — add products with names, prices, and images
  4. Create modifiers (sizes, extras) where needed — e.g. Size: S/M/L
  5. Assign modifiers to products so customers see them when ordering
  6. Use the Media gallery — upload photos or select from Menuella Stock

Why: Your menu is what customers see and order from. Create categories first, then add products.

What to do:

  1. Store → Hours — Set store hours for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery
  2. Store → Order settings — Order types (pickup, delivery, pause), preparation time, advance ordering, order capacity
  3. Store → Delivery zones — If you deliver, define zones and delivery fees

Why: Customers need to know when you’re open and what the rules are (minimum order, delivery areas).

What to do:

  1. Go to Marketing → Link hub
  2. Copy your main ordering URL
  3. Share it on your website, social media, and email signature
  4. (Optional) Create Short links for specific campaigns

Why: Customers need a link to find your menu and place orders.

What to do:

  1. Orders — View incoming orders, confirm them, and update status (Preparing → Ready → Completed)
  2. Customers — See who’s ordering and their history
  3. Reports — Download financial reports when needed (see Finance, Billing & Reports)

Why: This is your daily workflow — confirm orders quickly so customers know you’ve received them.

  • Glossary — See Glossary for quick definitions of terms.
  • Learn button — On many pages, click Learn for contextual help.
  • Help articles — Use the link in the sidebar for more articles
  • Support — See Menuella Support — chat, email, phone, 24/7

Each step maps to a dashboard section — you’ll find everything in the sidebar. You can pause at any step — e.g. build your menu over several days, then configure orders and go live when ready. Test an order before sharing your link — place a test order, confirm it appears in Orders, and complete the flow.

Once you’re live, explore:

  • Loyalty & Rewards — Points system, digital stamp card, customer retention
  • Analytics — Delivery heatmap and order insights
  • Discounts and Coupons — Promotions and campaigns

Do Settings and Menu first — without payments and products, you can’t take orders. Confirm pending orders quickly — customers appreciate knowing their order is accepted. Share your link page everywhere — website, Google Business Profile, social media.
