Menuella automatically optimizes your images for quality and performance. You upload once — the system handles the rest:

  • Multiple variants — The system generates different sizes for different devices (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Modern formats — Images are served as WebP and AVIF where supported for smaller file sizes and faster loading
  • Device optimization — Each device receives the best-suited resolution and format
  • Quality preserved — Upload high-quality originals; Menuella creates optimized versions without losing visual quality

  • Keep under 1 MB per image when possible — large files slow down uploads; Menuella optimizes for delivery
  • Compress before uploading if your photos are very large (e.g. from a DSLR)
  • JPEG at 80–90% quality is usually a good balance of size and clarity; PNG is fine for graphics with transparency

  • Consistent lighting — Same style across products (e.g. white background, natural light) makes your menu look professional
  • Focus on the product — Center the dish or item; avoid cluttered backgrounds
  • High resolution — Avoid blurry or pixelated images — customers judge quality by how food looks
  • Correct aspect ratio — Use 1:1 for products and modifiers, 16:9 for categories to avoid awkward cropping

Use Menuella Stock for quick setup if you don’t have your own photos yet. Reuse images across similar products when appropriate (e.g. same drink in different sizes). Test how images look on mobile — that’s where most customers order.
