General Settings and Accountant
Where to find it: Settings → General and Settings → Connect Tax Advisor
General Settings
Section titled “General Settings”Settings → General lets you manage:
- Store details — Name, address, contact info
- Business information — For receipts and legal compliance
- Preferences — Defaults for your store
Keep this up to date so customers see correct information and your reports are accurate.
Connect Your Tax Advisor
Section titled “Connect Your Tax Advisor”Settings → Connect Tax Advisor lets you invite your tax advisor so they can access financial reports directly.
Benefits:
- They get the data they need without you exporting manually
- Secure, controlled access
- Easier month-end and year-end reporting
You invite them by email; they receive access to the relevant reports for your merchant. See How to Add a Tax Advisor for step-by-step instructions. Tax advisor connection is part of Finance, Billing & Reports.
- Keep store name and address accurate — they appear on receipts, your ordering page, and in reports.
- General settings are per store — if you have multiple locations, each has its own details.
- Invite your accountant at the start of the tax year — they can pull reports whenever needed.
- Update contact info if your phone or email changes — customers and support may use it.
