General Settings and Accountant

Where to find it: Settings → General and Settings → Connect Tax Advisor

Settings → General lets you manage:

  • Store details — Name, address, contact info
  • Business information — For receipts and legal compliance
  • Preferences — Defaults for your store

Keep this up to date so customers see correct information and your reports are accurate.

Settings → Connect Tax Advisor lets you invite your tax advisor so they can access financial reports directly.

Benefits:

  • They get the data they need without you exporting manually
  • Secure, controlled access
  • Easier month-end and year-end reporting

You invite them by email; they receive access to the relevant reports for your merchant. See How to Add a Tax Advisor for step-by-step instructions. Tax advisor connection is part of Finance, Billing & Reports.

  • Keep store name and address accurate — they appear on receipts, your ordering page, and in reports.
  • General settings are per store — if you have multiple locations, each has its own details.
  • Invite your accountant at the start of the tax year — they can pull reports whenever needed.
  • Update contact info if your phone or email changes — customers and support may use it.
