Payments & Billing
Payments is how customers pay you — and how you receive that money. Connect Stripe or PayPal so you can accept online payments and get payouts.
Where to find it: Settings → Payments
What Is Billing in Menuella?
Section titled “What Is Billing in Menuella?”When we say billing, we mean:
- Customer payments — How customers pay at checkout (card, PayPal, etc.)
- Your payouts — How you receive the money (from Stripe or PayPal to your bank account)
- Fees — Menuella’s platform fee and payment processor fees (shown in your Financial reports)
Connecting a Payment Provider
Section titled “Connecting a Payment Provider”- Go to Settings → Payments
- Choose Stripe or PayPal
- Follow the connection flow — you’ll log in to your Stripe or PayPal account and authorize Menuella
- Once connected, customers can pay at checkout
Supported Providers
Section titled “Supported Providers”| Provider | What customers can use |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay |
| PayPal | PayPal balance and linked cards |
| Cash | Pay with cash at pickup or delivery — no processing fees |
You can connect Stripe and PayPal, and turn Cash on or off. See Managing Cash Payments.
How Payouts Work
Section titled “How Payouts Work”- Stripe and PayPal send payouts to your bank account according to their schedule (e.g. daily, weekly)
- Menuella does not hold your money — it goes through the payment provider
- Check your Stripe or PayPal dashboard for payout status and history
- Need to change your bank account? See Updating Your Payout Bank Account
- Menuella fee — Shown in Financial reports (Reports → Financial)
- Transaction fees — Charged by Stripe or PayPal; also shown in Financial reports
You can connect multiple providers — e.g. Stripe and PayPal for more payment options. Menuella never sees or stores full card numbers — payment processing is handled by the provider. Your Financial reports show the breakdown of sales, fees, and what you receive.
Connect at least one payment provider before going live — without it, customers cannot pay online. Keep your Stripe or PayPal account in good standing — payouts depend on it. Use Financial reports to match payouts with your bank — compare the same date ranges.
